Volunteer Management-The Basics & Step By Step Guide To Creating Your Own Volunteer Program

Recruiting and supporting volunteers can be said to be the foundation of any successful recreation department and/or social services program! Yet, doing so requires that we recruit trustworthy, enthusiastic and long-term personnel! What's required? How Do I create a volunteer program? Here is where training, development and effective management tools and resources are needed. How do we find volunteers? What are best practices? These questions and many more will be answered in this course. We'll have fun, but learn too!
This course will give you the steps and strategies for developing a volunteer program, and also the tools for recruiting, selecting, developing, evaluating, and retaining volunteers. Legal requirements as they relate to human resource management will also be discussed.
The learner must pass a quiz with at least a 70% in order to be awarded the completion certificate, within 365 days of starting the course.
